Set in the gorgeous alleys of Old Delhi, “Sasural Genda Phool” is a heart depiction story of two improbable characters -- Suhana and Ishaan. It is a love story of two unfamiliar people who fall in love after marriage. Suhana is the attractive, brave daughter of Kamal Kumar Bajpai. She hails from a lavish house with a overabundance of servants to service her cravings. Having missing her mother at a very young age, she grows up as a very forlorn person. In spite of his best hard work, Kamal Kumar Bajpai is not able to give his daughter sufficient time. Deprived of a mother's love and a father's attention, Suhana has grown up to have a legendary temper. But equally legendary is her kindness. Everyone who has seen her grow up -- her family, her servants and her acquaintances know her to be an honest, straight person, never shying away from calling a shovel a shovel. Unluckily, Suhana loses in that most complex game of all, love. In a flick of natural defiance, she agrees to marry whoever her father decides for her. Ishaan on the other site is a kind good natured IT professional. Astonishingly, for a person whose career is on the go up, he does not have a girlfriend...he asks his family persons to look for a bride for him. As one girl after one more rejects him, he gives up and decides that he will get married whosoever they decide is a appropriate match for him. They decide on Suhana. Therefore, Suhana and Ishaan are wed. But the wedding starts on a catastrophic note. Suhana, who is uncooked from a fresh break up, makes it clear to Ishaan that she is not in love with him. Epitomizing the nice guy that he is, he decides to give her time for her lesion to heal. And then, a bit happens to Suhana. Whether it is the influence of the wedding mantras or the service of living under the same roof, an enchantment happens. It starts with unimportant things - choosing a shirt for him; packing his Tiffin; or individually picking the flowers Ishaan likes best. Suhana slowly starts to find out her husband. Each new day, she finds a new facet of her husband. Each new day makes Ishaan more appealing to Suhana. And before she knows it, she has fallen in love with him -- a love which is bottomless and solid; a love that will truly situate the test of time. But Sasural Genda Phool is not simply about Suhana's finding of love; it is also about her finding of a family. Dissimilar Suhana, Ishaan comes from a large joint family. Persons in this family secondary their selfish requirements for needs of the common good. It is in this family that Suhana find out the true wealth of living -- she expands the love of a mother, of a Dadima, of Chachas and Chachis and of Brothers and Sisters she never had. She is taught to never make a division between rich and poor, between the bright and the not-so-intelligent -- to be equivalent to all and never to be judgmental.
